What we collect and store

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store and through any voluntary forms such as our Employment, Contact Us, Room Rental, and Loyalty Information forms.    We will also collect information if you choose to make a dining reservation with us.

Our Shop

While you visit our shop, we’ll track:

    • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
    • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
    • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and credit card/payment details.   We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

    • Send you information about your account and order
    • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
    • Process payments and prevent fraud
    • Set up your account for our store
    • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
    • Improve our store offerings

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 20 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses. 

Mailing Lists and Contact Forms

Mailing lists that you sign up for will retain your information until you opt-out or unsubscribe, at which point it will be deleted.  Information submitted via our website contact forms ( Employment, Contact Us, Room Rental, and Loyalty Information) is only collected and stored for as long as needed to contact you and for continuing contact as needed.

Reservations

When you make a reservation directly through us or through a third party, we will collect information about your party including your name, phone number, and visit information such as the number of people in your party and the reason for your visit.  If you made a reservation through a third party (OpenTable) you can request removal through their platform here.  If you made a reservation directly through us you can reach out and request removal of your data by emailing contactus@stpaulfish.com.

Who on our team has access

Select members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.  Our team at no time has access to your full payment information.  Please see the Payments section for more information.

Our restaurant management team has access to information that you voluntarily through contact forms on our website, which allows us to reach out to you regarding information provided and reservation data, which allows us to better serve you for your visit.

What we share with others

We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you.  We will NEVER sell or share your information to a third party for any purpose besides as listed below without your express consent.  These third-parties are as follows:

Order Information

We partner with Printify to provide you some of our products. When processing an order, some of your data will be passed to Printify, including information required to process or ship the order, such as your name, billing and shipping address, and the products you have ordered.  Printify acts only as a “data processor” and never has access to any payment details.

Payments

We accept payments through Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway since 1996, to offer safe and secure credit card transactions for our customers. The Authorize.Net Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the credit card processing networks. The company adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing, including:
•128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for secure Internet Protocol (IP) transactions.
•Industry leading encryption hardware and software methods and security protocols to protect customer information.
•Compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.

What rights you have over your data

If you have placed an order through our site, made a reservation directly with us, or contacted us via a webform on or website, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.  Please send us an email at contactus@stpaulfish.com to request erasure.
